Why do people put so much stock into horoscopes?

Norine Lomonte: i dont belive in horoscopes or astrology....so i see what u r saying....but i must say that some people consider the horoscopes or astrology to be a psychic thing...and it is not....there r some pstchics who r astrologist or the other way around but they have nothing to do with each other...so i dont get it either....

Eulah Hugill: Truth time I can see both sides of the coin. I like astrology b/c its pretty accurate at times, it gives you something to think about and has helped numerous people find themselves and understand certain aspects and maybe even change the negative ones. Plus it's fun. On the other side I can see it as something people who like to control things use to feel like they have some control in their lives and some of it is hog wash. It's been given a bad name by bad apples. People who are exploiting it for the money, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have relevance. Our forefathers were astrologist. Newton and Franklin, Dee and Kelly were all GREAT thinkers and they believed in this and used it as a science if you will. Alchemist used planetary positions, gave them names and used them to unlock! some of the secrets of the universe. It really upsets me when! people get on here and blast astrology. I don't make it a habit to go on christian websites and tell them since there is not real proof christ exist then they are all crazy liars. These things say that the future is not a complete mystery, and that people don't need to be afraid of it.It gives people false hope. Ronny Dorge: I don't believe in horoscopes, but I believe in si! gns' characteristics. They are mostly true I have learned on my own experience. Reading that stuff helps you to understand yourself better at times, and think about things people usually don't think.I don't fully rely on synastry prognoses, but I believe that some signs are compatible and others are not. And often people just waste time on each other, because they don't know they just can't get along well enough to have some future. So I guess I believe in "non-compatibility" in the first place. I agree that it's very superficial and ridiculous to put all of your trust into a Natal Chart or a Horoscope when it comes to determining your relationships and friendships. Relationships should of course be determined by how comfortable and complete the other person makes you feel, emotionally, intellectually, physically, etc, without the help of any written document or amb! iguous prediction. HOWEVER. There is a difference between horoscopes an! d astrology. Horoscopes are generally made up garbage. But astrology of the signs and their attributes is a science that deserves attention. The majority of the people on the horoscope site are ignorant about the depths of astrology. There is an astounding amount of truth to astrology if a person knows enough about it and knows how to interpret it correctly. In your Natal Chart you have many different signs, planets, and aspects that shape you into the individual that you are. Let's say, for example, that you are a Libra Sun Sign. Libras are supposed to get along best with Geminis and Aquarians, and completely clash with Capricorns and Cancers. But you should never determine your relationship based on a Sun Sign alone, because there are so many other factors in your Natal Chart that will predict who you can best get along with. If you are a Libra Sun Sign that has a Cancer Moon (Moon Signs determine your emotions), then you can get along very well with a Cancer Sun, and com! pletely debunk the bad relationship reports between Libras and Cancers that you read about on websites. I'm sure this is quite confusing. Lol. But the bottom line is...all of those websites out there that give you stereotypical relationship tips about certain Sun Signs give astrology a very bad and false reputation. It's true that you shouldn't put all your stock into horoscopes, but you should delve more deeply into astrology if you actually want to learn the valuable information.
