Cb Radio??

Fritz Sisomphou: Yup, the antenna is what lets you receive and transmit, never try to transmit with a cb radio without an antenna.

Roland Stampley: its a different antenna entirely with a co-axial cable. It then needs to be adjusted with a SW Meter to match the wavelenght with the radio or you cannot transmit.

Adrian Sherlin: For the best performance, yes. You can buy a magnet-mount antenna for as little as $15. You can also buy a device that allows you to connect to your standard am/fm car radio antenna along with the car radio; I've used them in the past, and the results were satisfactory, but not as good as with a separate cb antenna.

Jon Bergmeier: ALL CB radios require an antenna to work properly. The only CB radios that DON'T need an an external antenna are walkie talkies. If however you have a car radio or a base station set you definitely DO need an external antenna....Show more

  1. Nearly of expert drivers utilize a CB day by day. If you change your CB radio for modulation that exceeds 100% your radio is presently illegal to use to send. If you change your radio for power yield that exceeds the FCC runs your radio is currently illegal to use to communicate.
