Karl Jantzen: Here's a site that shows you how you can reduce global warming....http://www.shufflespan.com/global_warming.html
Evelin Turlich: what parts of the world is more effected by global warming?-All parts are effected, either indirectly or directlyhow did it all start?-The earth has always naturally cooled/warmed. It's a natural occurence.what can we do to fix it?-Nothing; its natural. We have no impact on it.how did we learn about global warming?-We studied the rise/fall of global temperatures throughout history and saw that it was cyclical; temperatures rose, then fell, rose then fell. Currently theyve risen, and then they will fall.what kinds of things lead us to believe that global warming is upon us?-Global temperatureshow does global warming work?- .... its self explanatorywhere is the breaking point between global warming and just pollution?-They are pretty unrelated; thus no "breaking point".what causes more global warming?-Nothing; its a natural pro! cesswhat does global warming effect the most- humans, animals, geographic features...-everything...Show more
Denna Prudente: Global warming is a huge hoax. Don't spend billions of dollars chasing a 'ghost' because you can't/shouldn't try to do anything about it.Al Gore has already set up his OWN COMPANY to take and use money from carbon credits. What a SCAM!The reality is...a certain small but vocal bunch of un/underemployed scientists of various facets have suddenly become climate experts, joined the lefties and together scheme to block future energy production by reducing and eliminating the search for oil sites and thereby boosting the prices. Al Gore has already made lots of money from this, because his scam is fooling some people. But the more you educate yourself the more you see that he is totally wrong. Americans are being robbed, with the governments support down there. And talking about the US government...why did they come out and say that polar bears ! are an endangered species? That's odd. The population of pol! ar bears is doing fine...thriving even, in all but one group on the west shore of Hudson Bay where overhunting has caused a problem but that has been corrected.Polar bears are in no danger, never have been, and won't be for any foreseeable reason. Their habitat is not being destroyed, the ice caps are NOT shrinking (contrary to what they lying lunatics are saying). What's up with some people? What is the problem with seeing the truth? People who agree with global warming are mentally ill. There are a few people around here answering questions who pass themselves off as university educated scientists or whatever. They may or may not be real. From answers they've give to my questions I can see that they're badly confused.Thankfully there is a growing movement of experts and scientists out there who are slowly proving the g/w theory as false. It won't be long before we're all calling for the likes of Al Gore to be jailed. Even Al Gore knows two things, that the tempera! ture change in the last 100 years has been .1 degree C. and that since 1998 there has been no increase whatsoever. Minor fluctuations are normal....Show more
Bud Espenshade: global warming isnt real its just a bunch of **** the earth has been heating and cooling forever so everyone needs to get over "global warming"
Hunter Beech: Don't believe the people (like nick b and conservative1st) that think that all global warming is just a natural thing. They don't know what they're talking about and it's easier to deny it exists than to actually do anything about. It's true that the Earth goes through warming and cooling cycles naturally caused by many things, most notably slow changes in the Earth's orbit and solar output. However, these things don't cause changes with the rapidity that we're seeing them now.It started when man started burning fossil fuels such as coal and oil, so it's pretty much coincident with the Industrial Age. Even in the 19th century peopl! e such as John Tyndall realized that the Earth is much warmer than it w! ould be otherwise, due to gases like water vapor and carbon dioxide. Guy Callendar realized that we were putting large quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and could change the climate. Roger Revelle was perhaps the first person to really worry about it and he hired David Keeling to make measurements of CO2 in the atmosphere. The so-called Keeling Curve is direct evidence for man's changing the composition of the atmosphere.http://earthguide.ucsd.edu/globalchange/keeling_cu...There are many things that make us believe in global warming. Global temperatures have been on an upward trend for decades now. Of course individual weather events may bring temporary cooling, but it is clear that the trend is dramatically upward. For example, the month of March was the warmest March ever recorded for the global land surface. There is also documented evidence that spring is arriving several weeks earlier on average and many areas are in the midst of drought that is a! ssociated with global warming. Here are some plots of temperatures since 1880. http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/img/climate/research/2008...Gloal warming affects all parts of the world, but the effects are more pronounced the farther you get from the equator, that's why things seem to be happening so fast in the arctic. Humans, plants and animals are all affected. Humans might be able to adapt at enormous infrastructure cost. Some animals might migrate poleward, but plants don't migrate so easily and their demise may also cause animals to lose their habitats. To stop it will require us to greatly cut back on the carbon dioxide (and other greenhouse gases) we are putting in the atmosphere. We might be "saved" if it turns out that there is less coal and oil than people think--we might run out before destroying the climate completely, but we will still need to find a way to replace the energy lost by removing those sources from our economy....Show more
