If they own no property, then of course sales tax is a bigger expense.For different income levels, generally lower income folks will pay more in sales tax than they will in property taxes. Mario Stricklan: That depends on WHERE you define "local". Sales taxes are different in every state, and sometimes in every county. Property taxes are different in every city and town.
