Fannie Collingwood: Hey, Babe(: .Assemble a papaya's flesh, water & if possible, honey.Rub a piece of cut papaya flesh on your face & neck gently for 15 minutes.Let the rubbed-on papaya sit for 15 minutes.Rinse off with warm water; this will open pores.Rinse again with cool water. This will close the pores.Pat your skin dry with a towel. Rubbing can easily break the small capillaries under the facial skin! & cause redness & fine "spider lines" if you have skin prone to this. Rubbing may also cause bacteria to spread; theoretically, this might lead to spreading pimples, although acne is more likely to be caused by dietary or genetic afflictions.Touch your face & feel the difference. Your face should feel & look much more radiant & feel good.Touch up with some moisturizer if needed. If your face feels dry, just apply toner/moisturizer. Use a natural moisturizer if possible.-The reason this treatment works is because of a chemical in the papaya called papain, which breaks down proteins. (Papain is also found in meat tenderizers.) That won't end well, trust me.-Be extremely careful! To the person who created this remedy, papaya's enzymes destroy & break down the epidermis, not necessarily give a glow. Realize that people who work with fruits like pineapple & papaya have no fingerprints after constant work. I don't recommend this.-By November 4, 2008, the FDA told American drug companies to stop selling topical products with papain without prior approval due to cases of people being sent to the hospital for rapid heart beat, low blood pressure, &/or severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic reactions). Soooooo, if you're a sensitive person, best not to risk it. Otherwise, just to be safe, try it on a small part of your skin, then if it's all good, go ahead & slather that papaya all over you.-Etri...Show more
