Why did you start the performing arts hobbie you have, (music, dance, etc)?

Rodolfo Merel: I have two.I have been dancing since i was 5 years old.I started dancing because my parents put me into it because my cousin was in it. I fell in love with it right away.I sure hope to keep dancing my whole life, even if its just a little bit.I have classes once a week for 4 hours or so, and i practice a lot, sometimes even if its just goofing around in the grocery store.I dont compete because we cant afford it, but i would love to.I dont plan to major in it in college but i still love to perform and would like to keep doing it.I am 17 and a senior in high schoolMy second one is I play the flute/piccolo/saxophone.I started the flute in 6th grade, saxophone i taught my self in 9th grade and I only play picc occasionally but i have been doing that throughout high school.I probably wont play for anything but just to play after college, but i love marching band and want to try to work as an instructor in the summers during college.Personally I think I do very w! ell, however my band as a whole dont always do their best work so we dont do extremely well, but we usually beat at least one other band....Show more

Codi Manchel: I'm a senior in high school, and I am entirely in love with the art of musical theater. I started this hobbie around 2nd grade and I was crushed when I didn't get into my first show at a local theater. However, with doing musicals at my church and I gaining much more confidence, I landed my first "big" part in our 7th grade production of Aladin, where I was Genie :) I then did shows at a summer program where I gained more experience, landing better roles each year. Then I got into high school, where I tried out as a freshman and didn't make it in the show. But our school has a "Broadway Dinner", where any person that has this class can audition to have their own song or a group song. I made dumb choices of songs my first two years, but last year I did the song "See, I'm Smiling" from the Last 5 Years, and I ! made most of the audience cry. I'm not trying to sound cocky a! t all, I'll just never forgot the look on people's faces after I yelled out my last note and broke down on stage. Our director's daughter is actually performing on Broadway, and the night I first performed it, she told me to seriously consider doing musical theater for life. This was the biggest compliment I have ever had in my life :)I sadly will not be going into this as a major, as I believe it would be so hard trying to make it in life as a performer. Every little girl wants to be an actress, a performer, and to be famous. I wouldn't want to major in this because I would want to be famous... it just gives me an adrenaline rush like nothing else....Show more

Jorge Detlefs: sophisticated subject. seek over google and yahoo. it might help!

Tereasa Sorensen: I play the piano. I started lessons when I was about 7 or 8. Then we moved. I played in the school band at my new school when I was in 6th grade. Then I stopped lessons. Then I picked it up again when I! was 50; 5 and a half years ago and I was really into it. For the past year, my interest has dropped off. I still play, but not as much as I used to. I hope this will change in the near future.
