Ardath Templer: I would think so. If you want to download a new program such as office, or a new windows or even need to reinstall windows how would you do it without such a drive?
Keven Woodington: Optical drives are slowly becoming obsolete since High speed internet connections are available and and ! the latest games can be downloaded via online stores such as STEAM and ORIGIN there is not much use left of them that goes for movies too.I don't have an optical drive in my PC.It has been like this for 2 years and I haven't regret the least about it....Show more
